Duo?

Cab, do you think we can come up with a duo that would work good together for these times when Ten can not play? Here are my babies.

The Lvl 20 Guard/RK duo should work.
My 25 Warden with your Hunter or Burg would have no heals but we don't have heals solo either. Lone Lands or North Downs maybe
My 49 Burg should work with your Minstrel. Fred has been messing around in Forochel, Misty Mountains and Eregion. We are also about the right level for the dwarf dungeon south of Thorin's Hall.

Do you like playing a Warden? I deleted a lvl 35 cause I didn't like the play style. They are very powerful though. I would go with the Hunter, just to be different. I am very tired of the Bree to LoneLands thing, North Downs would be better.

If we find we don't like the duo, then Fred plus Mini would be my choice.

I'm not crazy about playing a warden, can't get used to the mechanics of the gambit system.

LotRO Executive director Jeffrey Steefel described the Warden as a character "for players [that] want to anticipate what they'll need 10 seconds from now as opposed to right this second."

I have trouble planning that far ahead and the mob is usually dead in less than 10 seconds.

But I have no objection to playing the warden every now and then when Teniny can't join us.

I assume that you will be tank and healer while Fred sticks the mobs with his dagger and counts on you to keep him alive. Any ideas on where to quest? Fred has epic quests Book 5 Chapter 8 (Misty Mountains) and book 7 Chapter 2 (Cairn Dum, sounds scary). Fred still needs to do the troll cave in Eregion but think it would be very hard for just 2 of us.

I just did some reading about Minis and tanking. Not good passed fifty, so that is that. I like playing a Guard, so I guess it is back to my lvl 20 and your RK, or your Warden and my Hunter...up to you.

I look at this like the "Rogue Group" we had in TNFC. You and Nan had already left I think. For some of us that wanted to play more than one night a week, we started a group with Rcap, me, Ten, Tam and Menset. We had a lot of fun in that group. No restrictions on lvl s and such.

So if a mini past 50 can't tank then you can't solo?

Nan and I were still active when the rogue group started but RCap said there was not enough room for both of us. My preference was to split into two smaller groups but RCap wanted a full group. We joined the rogue group on a few occasions when other people couldn't make it. It was a fun group but we always felt like outsiders.

I am willing to try the Mini, nothing lost. When Fred gets to 54, my she elf Guard can take over if needed. I would rather play the Mini as I am so tired of the lower level areas. To solo a mini has to be in "War Speech" with no heals. There is an in between stance that allows fight and heal in smaller amounts.
