Yes I finally got it!
I hated to give up so made a DE magician to do some scouting for me. Razran F'Lok goes wandering and stays gone for 4 to 5 minutes, so I waited to see him leave then quickly logged Barolo on and scooted through into the Third Gate zone. As soon as I got into the next zone I saw a DE cleric NPC who was threatening, so gave it up.
If nothing else it was an adventure
(and we are all closer to the same amount of exp now)

Yes it was fun but Barolo isn't going back there for a while. I've been playing my new dark elf today, hope to learn more about the dangers of Neriak.

What would possess a Halfling to go to Neriak anyway?
Dragr died in Overthere trying to get back to reality. In the water but I had a good loc. Bought a port to WC from there. Worth it.

wanted to see if I could do a faction quest where you give a guy lots of red wine to drink, all positive faction, no negative faction hits
This would be to offset the bad DE faction you get when you turn in orc belts to one of the halfling guards.
