I iwsh i could say that i wasn't expecting this considering they have been very quiet about EQ Next since Landmark released. Sounds very similar to Blizzard's project TITAN discontinuation message. At least that spawned Overwatch. I would hope they might take what they have developed and also transform it into some new project although i wouldn't get my hopes up. It seems like the big honest companies just aren't able to make another strong mmo seller which is unfortunate. I feel like when companies like Blizzard and Daybreak talk about their new mmo ideas and how they aren't fun or don't have that x factor they just can't put a world together that feels like it's a living breathing interesting thing from just focusing on individual game mechanics.

Gamers are too aware and spoiled now. EQ was fun in 1999 because no one knew anything and the genre was new. I recently tried to play EQ2 again, just can't get into it. I had purchased a year all,access pass so I thought I might as well try. One of my problems is I am auto wired to movement with mouse look using WASD to control direction. Most new games I have tried just are impossible to play for me. I did try Black DESERT, a disaster in many ways.

Having a group,of friends is the only FUN for me now.
