Glaive or Marltek

Post by Menset »

Saw a Glaive of Marltek for sale in EC for 150p. Almost bought it as I had just sold another suit of banded and had 175p on me. But that's all I had so I passed.

It's a 1HS 5/24 that procs snare at 15. Low damage but snare is great to have. I'd almost prefer it over the Ebony Bladed Sword (7/24) I got from Cabkin. Root is also useful, but a rooted fleeing mob will turn and attack. A snared fleeing mob will not.

Sounds good. I sold my first stein this weekend and feel pretty flush - would be happy to give you a loan.

Heh. Don't need a loan. I can usually scare up 150p when I want to - that's the profits on 3 sets of banded. Just thought others might be interested in giving the sword a try. I may still pick one up. Just not today...

It does sound interesting. By the time the Ebony Bladed Sword procs I would hope to have something better but it has more DPS than any other 1HS that my ranger has.

IIRC, rangers want something fast in their primary hard and something that hits hard in the secondary. Not very many weapons proc below L40 and those that do have a fairly poor damage ratio. Still trying to figure out the lineup I want on Backfyre when I get dual wield.

I'll probably try to find a good deal on a Green Jade Broadsword.
