How do I go about participating on this server?

Wow Tarrax, it's great to hear from you! The website https://www.project1999.com/ has lots of information on setup and after you've looked at that we can try to answer any specific questions that you have. It requires installation of the old Everquest "Titanium" version. Physical disks are hard to find and most people use copies downloaded and mounted on a virtual CD drive. You can check out the thread titled "EQ Titanium files" in the Members Only forum. If you go that route and have problems post in that forum and I'll do what I can to fix it.

I'm guessing that this server will fit your play style. It is truly retro. EQ as it was when it first came out, way before the way it was when the TNFC guild first formed.

Nice to see ya too! It's been a helluva long while. It's pretty cool to see the site still up.

Looks like I have some reading and downloading to do. Luckily I have a week off coming up soon (assuming I'm not inundated with family stuff).
