Is Anyone Still Playing?

I hadn't played in a long time but apparently have been paying for it. My credit card number has changed and I got an email saying that they were unable to process my subscription payment. I need to decide whether to renew, have about 2 days to make up my mind.

I patched, logged in and discovered that I'm the only one in my guild. I assume that means that I'm the only one still subscribed. I think Rift is an okay game but LOTRO has been taking up all my game time and it probably doesn't make sense to pay for a game I'm not using, especially when there are so many others that are free to play. (I'm tempted to check out EQ again since Aradune is back.)

I got the same message - have not resubscribed. I like the game very much but don't have the motivation to log in and solo.

I just logged in and everyone is still in the guild. Then I went to check my account because I thought I paid with paypal, not a credit card. My account was active and indeed paid by paypal. I think the email may have been a scam.

My email was valid, it was indeed time to renew so I did. Maybe we can schedule a time to play one of these days.

That would be fun. Pretty sure my Soul Trees have all been reset, have to figure that one out.

I cancelled my RIFT subscription. My credit card number had been changed because of fraudulent activity on my account and the RIFT folks would not let me change the number without cancelling my subscription. That means losing the Founder's special pricing and resubscribing at the current price. It's only about a dollar extra a month but I'm not doing it. After a couple of emails back and forth with Customer Service I ended up pissed off and pulled the plug.

Unfortunate but understandable. It was fun while it lasted.
