halfling or iksar?

The hobbit group: halfling cleric, warrior, rogue, druid - my son is in this group but is currently working nights so we haven't been playing the hobbits

The Iksar group: Teniny as shaman, SamL as monk, me as either warrior or SK - if you wanted to be a lizard SK I would be fine with playing the warrior - necro slot is open too (I have a necro but he is lvl 25; if we had another tank I'd likely switch to necro when the rest of the group catches up)

I want to work a second character that I can level for a while and keep my DE at the group level. Of the halflings and iksar groups, which do you all play more often? I'll likely do one of each but want to prioritize. Halfling would likely be a ranger and iksar a caster (enc/wiz/mag). For halfling group I could also do a caster but it would have to be a different race IIRC. Just looking for input as to what hole to fill and what 2nd group to catch up to...

There are no Halfling rangers in the game yet and no Iksar wizards, mages, or enchanters

My halfling warrior is barely level 20 and I don't think everyone else has dinged yet. You would have to duplicate one of rogue, warrior, druid and cleric (which would be fine). If you really wanted to be something different then another short race would be most compatible (like dwarf pally or gnome INT caster)

I think we are more likely to be playing Iksars in the near term. For an INT caster necro is your only choice. Other available classes are shaman, monk, warrior, and shadow knight.

Well, that doesn't make it easy... If I did a gnome ENC, I could at least use a halfling illusion (eventually)... I'll have to grok on this more.

Our Iksar group was being played because Saerik ( Cab's son) had a shift change at work. I doubt we will play the halflings again until or if he rejoins us. You would have plenty of time to catch up.

Also, the lizardsssss are fun!
