The EC market is funny and prices can have a large variance. When in sell mode, I collect tradeskill goods while watching the market chatter. I've been trying to sell banded armor as a variation from the usual. Had a person looking for banded or bronze. I /who and see he is a wood elf - small. I sent a /tell saying I could get him a set for 80pp but he only had 60 - no sale. Just before logging an hour later, I saw him in /auction looking for banded/bronze again. I log in Yvenia and send him a tell offering a set for 90p and we settle on 85. It's in the noise, but does reinforce market variance. Been wanting a stein of moggok for tradeskills and see the price vary from 100 to 350pp. Trivial when you have 100k pp, but a huge difference when scrapping for every pp.
I think Menset retired seeing hundreds of thousands of PP. It just takes finding the right niche. Not sure where that is in EQ classic yet but it's fun to watch.

Re: Market Musings
I've never seen a Stein of Moggok for 100p, would easily pay 200 for one.
The standard rate for banded is 1PP per AC and I thought 90P for a complete set was the norm. My blacksmith has sold a few odd pieces and maybe one complete set but it is a lot of work and running around to make a set.
It sure was a lot easier on the old EQ where you could just park a character in the bazaar, put up a for sale sign, and go AFK.

Re: Market Musings
Banded moves slowly. As I head to EC, I do a /who in Nek forest and give a single call out to sell banded at a reduced price ~80p for a full suit. Sometimes I get a buyer. I get 30-50pp profit when selling at 1pp/ac. Not very time effective compared to bone chips, but it gives me a tradeskill path other than doing 100 cloak combines and dump to vendor. I don't care to give more than a half dozen /WTS before I go farm silks or get bored and log in my ranger.
