When I get some play time (like yesterday), I've been playing my ranger (Backfyre). Has been a very slow and painful crawl with no local player market. Was basically farming gnoll teeth and picking up every piece of loot I could find. I also found that the jaggedpine crook quest in Surefall pays out 2 - 8pp, so I've used that as my main coin source, which has all gone to smithing. At L10, I was in a full suit of vendor purchased leather - no source for banded armor - and my best weapon was the jaggedpine crook (5/31 1HB) from the quest. I had trouble soloing blues due to poor armor and low DPS. I was about to log in Halas when a L51 ranger gave me a Gigantic Zweihander (18/39 2HS). That turned everything around and let me solo white cons, including wisps. I know the greater lightstones can go for 10pp in EC, but you get almost 5pp dumping to vendor and I needed the coin to finally make a full set of banded as I hit L12 and 110 smithing.
I'm getting bored with the area but need to get 2 more casks for the cloak of jaggedpine. With L12, banded armor and the zwiehander, I think I can kill the regular brewers. People in BB don't seem to like grouping. Then it's off to West Karana or beyond.

Re: Qeynos - Halas is kind of slow
I have a lvl 14 half elf druid that would love to go hunting with Backfyre as long as it doesn't involve killing bears (name Carniolan, currently in West Karana). I logged on a few minutes ago and saw you but you had logged before I could send a tell.
