SamL is the expert here. I've done it once on this server and it took so long that I'm not in a hurry to do it again.

The wiki has step by instructions for a dark elf: http://wiki.project1999.com/Exotic_Drinks

Thanks, I will pick SamL's brain. I have the walk-through printed out but it looks daunting. And considering how many times I would get lost it could take all day......

I could run that quest several times in an afternoon when. We had Books of Knowlrdge. Never tried it in its original form...

I have never done the quest but have often wanted to. I made a HIE chanter but chose Tunare, which may make the quest impossible.

I will let you pick my brain. I used the Half Elf illusion as a DE. I have a DE on this server that did it a few times, sold for 300 P each time. I THINK a DE has to be level twelve on this server, will check mine. First time I rode all the boats, from then on I used ports as much as possible. I did it the "hard" way, getting the tonic from Tic Tok land and feeding Snowflake. I go to Euridin get the drink. Go to Surefall, get the chemical from the Druid, go to Misty or have my Halfling do the HoneyJum part. Get the nuts, buy as many as you plan to use so you only have to go once. Get Tonic from the Gnome, go to WK and make the pooch puke up the fish. Then when you have the four items, see the bartender. Go to OGGruk as a DE, hit the ogre with the "like me" spell and give him the book...gate back. It helps if you can self bind. Seems like a lot but most is travel time. IMHO, every Chanter should do this at least once as a homage to the old game. Like a mini epic!

My DE chanter is level 8, I will try to get to 12 if I have to. I have the honey jum from my halfling, was planning to make an alt to kill fish. Can I buy the nuts with illusion? The guide says to have a friend buy it.

I sed a Druid Halfling, I think to buy the nuts. There is a guy that will kill you if he sees you. I will check what level my guy is. Never leveled him passed the required level. I spent all day trying to kill the fish with level one characters, never got it.,:(

I've done this quest 8 million times.

If you are agnostic, you should be able to buy the Kiola nut with Half elf or human illusion.

The easiest way to get the fish is use an alt to kill it and then loot with the enchanter. Yes, the alts faction with Qeynos will be trashed quickly.

I use a halfling alt usually to farm honeycomb, but you can use half elf illusion and alliance to get the honeyjum yourself as an agnostic dark elf. Without a shared bank, you might as well do it yourself.

The tonic in Erudin can be done easily with human illusion.

As long as you are agnostic, you are good without any faction work as a dark elf enchanter. Non dark elves have to wait till level 12 and dark elf illusion. It's nearly impossible for non-agnostic/non-evil races to get enough faction in Oggok to do this quest. There was a limited time event/quest where various cities had a bread shortage throughout Norrath, and delivering bread from South Karana would give various faction increases. My halfling druid did this quest over and over until she could use wolf form to do the final turn in for the stein. Eventually, she was not KOS with most factions in Oggok and could walk around in Halfling form...except the SK guild I think.

Thanks for the advice! I made a warrior alt specifically to kill fish - she is buffed and at the pool, which is FULL of dead bodies. I am waiting til a game night to get transfer help for honeyjum but your suggestion makes more sense. My halfling druid just happened to have the honeycombs.
