West Karana bandits

Post by Menset »

Been making about 150p a night and good XP killing bandits. Most people know about the farm house and road bandits, but a couple camps I like are less frequented. They are both at the opposite end of the zone past the road bandits and close to the merchant Spinner, who is along the road. At L18, 16 sashes equaled a full yellow bubble. At 19, 4 sashes are giving just over a blue bubble. Lots of bronze weapons is what gives the loot - half from drops and half from the bronze you get turning in each sash.

Dangers: Hill Giants and Ghoul Messenger (not difficult to avoid)

West Karana P99 Wiki
Spinner: -1510, -12930 (merchant)
Camp A: -1022, -11837
Camp B: 762, -11500

Camp A:
Just up the hill from Spinner. 5 bandits spawn on the ridge between (-1023,-11968) and (-1083, -11935). All the bandits randomly path to a central spot back off the ridge which makes it easy to pull them 1 and 2 at a time. A wandering bandit also paths through the camp. Be wary of the hill giants that path close to the camp. I have been pulling to a spot midway between 2 trees just NE of the bandits. Being close to merchants, easy to sell loot to make more room for the bandit sashes.

Camp B: (further NW)
Three bandits spawn near two shadow wolves. Bears path through the area so be careful where you sit unless a ranger or druid. These bandits can be root split. A fourth bandit spawns just up the hill by the wolves and kills the wolves. Another wanderer paths by the camp from the hill to the east (toward NK). There is also a bandit that spawns just up the hill on the lower ledge (south) and two more much higher up the tall hill. As a ranger, I pull mobs to a spot near to the shadow wolves - they give warning if the bandit spawns near them. Others are better pulling from the opposite side of the camp.

What level are the bandits?
Everything will be alright in the end. And if everything is not alright, then it is not yet the end.

Wiki says 9-12. At 18, barely getting any XP off the kills. It all comes from the sashes.

For soloing, root or snare is almost a must have.

Thank you so much for posting this. I plan to take some revenge on these bandits with my new root later this week.

How is their aggro range? I know on live servers, they assist other bandits from VERY far away. They also 'double' spawn a lot where mobs are stacked. Good for xp if you can handle the adds, but really rough otherwise.

I have not noticed any long range or unusual aggro.
