I am having an extreme amount of fun playing my Ranger Kermin. Especially now that he has hit level 9 and gotten his first set of spells!
Flame Lick is a Godsend for soloing White mobs! I just have to be careful. I somehow managed to cast Flame Lick on myself during a fight TWICE in an hour yesterday. Ouch! :-o
And I no longer need to use up my expensive arrows to pull. I have also managed to aquire a tailored quiver which, as I understand it, gives me a little Archery haste.
The only bummer is that there are no Halfling Rangers in P99, which means I have to go to either Surefall Glade or Kelethin to use my training points. :P
Everything will be alright in the end. And if everything is not alright, then it is not yet the end.

Heh. I rooted myself while trying to disengage a couple weeks ago...

Having a good weapon makes all the difference. Until I got a decent weapon, I was having trouble with blue mobs.
One neuron short of a loon...
