Karg Icebear

I was killing a mammoth calf in Everfrost and Karg Icebear ran up, asked "How dare you insult an Icebear?" and proceeded to beat the stuffing out of me. I ran to the guards, he stopped at the first one, the calf followed and was killed by the second guard. I don't think the guard attacked Karg, he just stopped. Is he like Holly Windstalker?

I'm surprised that you survived an encounter with Karg Icebear, he is level 35. I never heard of him attacking someone. He is a quest turn-in mob and lots of higher levels kill him to loot his cloak

I only survived because I had SoW and was already close to the guards. Can't find any reference to him aggroing anyone, maybe I was trained?
